    A lose of a dime.

    Explain that one.

That is a .15 turnaround xs that by the number of shares.

    Where is that money going?????????????

How can we invest like this?

Not to be negative. But we are getting fleeced and we are getting fleeced harder with each passing week.

    G fund 8 days between .01s now!!!!!!!!!!!

    This is nuts.

I have 40% in I fund. Normally these creative math happens on Thursdays not Wednesdays.

That is what I call the I fund now. Spin the wheel when you put some dough in there.:shock:

BOTTOM LINE: THESE ARE INDEX FUNDS. HOW CAN THEY DO THIS?

Index up .302 that is .05 per share. That "should" of been a 1148 gain in my account. Yet I get a lose of 2300. That is a 3448 turnaround just in my account.

    3448 USDS.............in one day. :X

Is this an investment or a mob operation????

To boot USD was DOWN yesterday.

The I fund was down heavly today. How can that be with www.mscidata.com showing it being up 0.302% with dollar correction. What sort of auditing is there on these funds?

    Hi troxel -
I mentioned this the other day. It works both ways. On June 1st I wrote:

"I don't see anyconspiracy theories out there tonight because of the 15 cent or 1% gain in the I fund when the EAFE was only up .44% in dollars... Anyone calling their congressman about this? (sarcasm) "

No one seemed too concerned because no one replied. Day to day, anything can happen because these markets, and the dollar, trade 24/7. By year's end thoughthe EAFE in dollars will be up or down almost exactly what the I fund is up or down.

This "accounting" cost me 3448 today and 17,974 so far this year.

I am just one person. Now expound that at over everyone that was in the I fund the same time I was and you will have a huge hunk of change.

I am probably beating a dead horse but I really do not want my social security in this "system". The Chicago Mob would hold it up as a thing of beauty in their day.

You can call the I Fund Manager and he will explain. Told me one time that they were not ripping us off. I never mentioned that in our discussion he volunteered that bit. Anyway, after you talk with him please post his response where I can understand, because I still don't get it.

I understand the dollar trades 24/7 but these "adjustments" are not daily tweaks to account for overnight changes but a periodic large move. It would seem that for a fund to have the ability to periodically adjust a funds price either way away from the index could lead to some wonderful opportunities for corruption eventhough the net change over a longer period of time such as a year may be identical.

Could someone explain, in simple terms, what's going on with the I fund today. It appears to simple minded me that I have just lost appx 66% since yesterday!

    Great talk here.

    "Periodic adjustments".

    Wow.

This is an index fund right?

Is it not suppose to track an index?

I want to know where is all this money going too?

It has NEVER NEVER given me more then the index return. But it sure as heck as taken away more. The adjustsments are only going one way, IMHO.
