It is difficult to imaginehow bad it must be for everyone from the gulf on up into the middles states! Our previous talk centered on N.O., but that was where we expected her to land - the immensity of her size is overwhelming when I see the photos of those swirling winds taking in so much territory on the coast and on up north. For those of you whose lives are being affected by this storm, our hearts & prayers go out to you. May God's grace suffice -
OWS: please move camp site to the Federal Reserve Building. Thank you ...

FYI ... Gulf of Mexico oil and gas shut in data for today 8/30/05... These numbers may stay this way for some time cause it will take a lot for operating companies to get offshore to detemine the damage, and then once determined to mobilize crews to fix things..

Today’s shut-in oil production is 1,375,413 BOPD. This shut-in oil production is equivalent to 91.69% of the daily oil production in the GOM, which is currently approximately 1.5 million BOPD.

Today’s shut-in gas production is 8.299 BCFPD. This shut-in gas production is equivalent to 82.99% of the daily gas production in the GOM, which is currently approximately 10 BCFPD.
