    Exclamation Re: BOP employees

FCI Fairton was my home for 19years and 2months. Three Heart Attacks in one
night ended my career and I ended up on Disability Retirement. When I found
out about the 1% Formula that OPM used to configure my Retirement, I was totaly
shocked. OPM was ignoring the 19+ years I paid 1.3% towards my retirement.
I then stumbled onto the OPM website and found out that in July of 2010, the Law
was changed. Sooooooooo, IF YOU ARE ON DISABILITY RETIREMENT OR HAD A
DECEASED SPOUSE WHO WAS, AND WORKED IN A LAW ENFORCEMENT POSITION
The time served as Law Enforcement is now calculated at 1.7% and you need to
check out the OPM Website for specific instruction.

Happy Holidays From SB and TB !
My thoughts of future market events are strictly my gut feelings and have nothing
to do with actual knowledge or experience concerning the Stock Market or Investing.

Once upon a time a long time ago 82 to 87 I worked in FCI Englewood and Ray Brook. Boy, you can have it all and I don't mean dealing with the inmates. They were easy. Lousy vindictive truly ugly management and that is speaking kindly. I was and continue to be grateful that I had the stones to take a hike out of there. Customs turned out to be much better until we were dragooned into Homeland Security then it was right back to Purgatory. On the up side only 10 months until I can bail and try to live a normal life again.

I've got 22 1/2 years down, few more to go, 2 1/2 and I will be eligible with 25 years. I'll be young, as I started fresh out of the Army (and yes I bought all 6 years back). I might stay longer, but? I'd rather do it in another agency that doesn't deal with inmates.
