Does anyone know of an ETF that trades the S&P 500 at 1.5 to 2 times the index? - One that if the S&P is up or down 1%, it would be up or down 1.5% to 2%? I know Rydex has such a vehicle, but I'm looking for an ETF.
Thanks!

RSU Rydex 2x S&P 500 ETF Is that what you need?
even though RSU is an ETF, SSO is much better. Vol on RSU is only 17k.

2x long SSO
2x short SDS
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." -- Thomas Jefferson
EFZ & EFU are short 1x/2x EAFE, but, like I said on the RSU ETF, look at the volume.
I would like a bear market strategy with Trader Fred.
Item to note:
When we are talking about how to double down both postive and negative on the ETF's, that may be a sign that we are about to hit a reversal. We're NOT the smart money, and if we are talking about it here, perhaps the mega money real players have already thought of it and are aobut to bail out.
Anyway, interesting idea on SSO and SDS.
(and I haven't heard the term SDS since I was a young'en. That's a pretty radical name for an ETF. :-) Go look it up.)
Show me-
thanks for the symbol for the turbo short.
I just picked up SDS.
Cross your fingers and wish me good luck.

be careful on a buy and hold hedge with those ultras if that's what your thinking here.
a 100% position in the I fund with a even a 3X down equaling 1/3 of tsp balance will take ya to the cleaners.
price decay of these beaches results from the "DAILY" tracking they follow & you will need the divs to come close to break even long term which are taxable unless shielded in ira/403
look at the 2 year charts here:
SRS/URE...... SSO/SDS......or the combo of UYG/SKF
even with divs a buy and hold is beat down hard....even if they had bot equal dollar values of each opposing product they have been absolutely killed
covered calls or puts on EFA may be a better approach
but here is da fire water 4 ya below...lol
