In honor of friends and colleagues who lost their entire homes or parts of their homesteads in the recent wildfires. They still have their families and their animal companions as well, some of them have nothing more at this point. Nobody died on the fire where I was, though people died on other fires in this region. Those starting over aren't defeated, they are moving forward. Donations pouring in from regional cities and tiny impoverished hamlets who could be considered neighbors, in a place where 100+ miles distance can be considered neighbors. Generosity. Loaves and fishes. Life is precious, people still care enough to share, no taxes required to make it happen.
