    Default Markets were 500 trades from a meltdown

    Well for what it's worth, I'm not sure whether to believe some or all of it, probably some of it is true. If we were really as close as this Post article says, then it'll happen again. Just food for thought and don't shoot the messenger.

    If the situation remains bad that's good for Nobama - if the economy stabilizes with a nice rally into year end that's good for McCain and darling Sarah.

    The consolidation continues. JP Morgan Chase got a steal. Capitalism at it's finest. I was going to make shirts that say:

    "My government gave away $700 Billion, and all I got was this lousy T-shirt"

    But realized that they would try and take it off my back to cover the deal.
