Might as well jump in, since misery loves company. Over $7K this past week. If left a big mark.

I'll avow my lack of prudence which dropped me more than 5% in the last couple of weeks while on and playing catch-up from vacation. I could have bought a new car with what I lost. 10 times what I spent on vacation. And I'm retired and have been relatively conservative all year. That's what you get when you spend your time in deserts and caverns instead of glued to market news and tickers. Might be a fated punishment for me since I missed the betting the Breeder's Cup races while traveling. But I came from poverty and I've had my share of ups and downs. Humility is invigorating!!! Trust me, you will survive just as happily without one dime of your TSP when you retire, that is if you actually enjoy all life entails. The older you get the less you need. One of these days I'll expostulate on that. Fact is that most of us are saving so our offspring can **** it all away.
