Default Poll: Are you "buy and hold coworkers selling yet?

For contrarian purposes, I would like to find out how many of your coworkers have gotten scared enough to pull out.

10% from the July high, is that enough of a correction for Aug in this enviornment.

My buy and hold coworkers seem to not even know about the market's drops. Maybe I should tell them so that they will sell, just to give room to us bull-riding monkeys.

I been asking the wife if anyone is talking about the stock market drop and the subprime problem.

    Not a word.

I have not even heard about it on the major news networks. Does this mean we have further to go?

Uh... it was the lead story on the national evening news last night.

My co-workers are aware (because they all use TSPLookup) and they got out two weeks ago and have stayed out.

My co-workers are pretty much fifty-fifty on staying or bailing.I personally am out in G land.I went with my gut feeling and what my comfort level dictated.I think one of the most valuable assets to have is to know what you can tolerate.I'm looking for the markets to take some positive direction before I get back in.That's just me.

My co-workers were panic selling two weeks ago when we were only down 5-6%. I laughed at them for selling low - now I'm the dummy with 10% losses. Sometimes it pays to run with the herd.

I got back in when we where down 5%. Got in too soon. Now is agood time to think about going back to stocks if you are out.

Some feel that they have lost to much to get out. They are afraid that they will miss the boat.I'd rather miss the boat than to be on the sinking ship. The markets will come back and i'm in it for the long haul.I'd love to be getting a higher return but sometimes you have to preserve capital.
