A BIG storm came through about 5AM and woke me up, winds about 35 MPH and raining like the devil. Usually if I wake up I can't go back to sleep so here I am. Insulation, when I bought this house it had an extra 8 or 9 inches blown over the Bats in the attic, there is some settling after 15 years but still looks like a winter wonderland. This is a perfect time of the year to tackle that job.

Us stocks mostly flat ahead of data

Sears used to be the BEST, "Sears Has Everything". Mom and Dad swore by them and they were good, but have lost some of the value that made them so good over the years. They still have a life time guarantee on their hand tools though!

Sear's had very little competition back then. You went to Sear's to get quality stuff. They sold just about everything you needed for the house.

I gave up on sears a year ago when I returned a broken Craftsman ratcheting wrench and the replacement he handed me said taiwan on it. jt

Taiwan makes some quality stuff. The real crap comes out of its Communist neighbor.

US new-home sales fell in December to make 2011 worst sales year on record

Amazon Drops 8%: Q4 Rev Misses, EPS Beats; Q1 Rev View Weak

US Economy Created 243,000 Jobs in January, Well Above Expectations as Unemployment Rate Fell to 8.3 Percent

New jobless claims up 8,000 seems to have tempered this morning's enthusiasm. Hopefully we can shrug that off and move higher.
