You do know that 1528 is just around the corner. It's time to buy the throw over - trend line violations. There is no resistance. This market has been cleared to move to places not thought of before to the upside. The ratio-adjusted NYAD line is setting new all -time highs. There is no breadth resistance anymore to impede this progress. The Primary 3 advance train is gaining momentum while most are invested overseas - classic IMHO.

Don't disagree, the market seems to pull back ever so often before the next run up. The + or - 18 point drop in SPX to catch it's breath has been a 2007 trend...... ......Spaf

Is it just me or does this look a little overbought?

DJWilshire 5000 Composite Index at new all-time high of 14,796.54 - minus 7610.47 in 3/03 provides a gain of 7186. A long way from the top yet.

Been using my new quotes and research. The Bollinger bands for SPX says the trend will continue. The Slow Stochastics says we are overbought. To get out of resistance we either pull back, run sideways, or hug the trend line. The market history for 2007 is for the SPX to pull back about 18 points. Without a change in the fundamentals, we are prime for a repeat.

Yes it is and it has had quite a run up lately. One of the TAs’ has issued a warning that the Shaghai 180 could crash and take down the Asia market. He’s predicting it will happen in the next 8 months. Best we keep our eye on it.

The potential won’t keep me out of the I Fund, but it does make me cautious.

Folks, this is scary. Today, markets rallied after Fed governor Susan Bies stated that the downturn in the housing demand is about to correct(hopes of a bottom). NFI was up 2.15% today but,...

NovaStar shares slumped 30% to $12.30 during after-hours trading on Tuesday.

NFI17.56, +0.37, +2.2% )
reported a net loss available to common shareholders of $14.4 million, or 39 cents a share, in the fourth quarter. A year earlier, the company generated net income available to common shareholders of $26.4 million, or 84 cents a share.

Problems with mortgages originated in 2006 knocked $17.4 million, or 47 cents a share, off fourth-quarter earnings. Provisions for losses on loans NovaStar has been forced to repurchase cut $13.4 million, or 36 cents a share, off results. More provisions for losses on a package of early 2006 mortgages the company securitized cost it another $10.3 million, or 28 cents a share, NovaStar said.
Subprime mortgages are offered to home buyers who fail to meet the strictest lending standards. Companies like NovaStar that specialize in this type of loan have suffered as housing prices stopped rising and interest rates climbed from record lows.
