"Fundamental Shift" by itself is like saying "it's gonna rain".

Bear = unfavorable trading based on S&P falling 60% or + of the time from Jan. 85 to Dec. 05
Witch = volatility due to expiration of equity & index options and index futures contracts.

If bears are covering, shouldn't that mean they are buying stocks to cover their short positions (or Puts)? With all that purchasing to cover, I would think stock prices will go higher. Although somebody must know something since so many Put Options were purchased recently.
