    Default Market timing

    I don't know whether this has been explained anywhere else. Have there been any studies done on market timing around payday. A lot of money goes into 401/IRA accounts automatically every payday for the fund managers to use. Wondered if there were any statistics on how many days after payday that money tended to go into stocks.

    TSP director Amelio said that they get money in every day at TSP because paydays vary among the 120 plus agencies.

    Historically, Friday's are one of the stronger days of the week. Perhaps paydays in the private sector have been influencing the market on Friday?? Just speculation.
