Senate gives symbolic approval of Keystone XL pipeline
The Senate made a show of support for the Keystone XL Pipeline on Friday, when a bipartisan majority voted in favor of an amendment to urge its approval.
The amendment, proposed by North Dakota Republican Sen. Jon Hoeven, would “establish a deficit-neutral reserve fund to promote … the construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline.”
It passed by a 62-37 margin, with 17 Democrats joining Republicans in supporting the measure.

That's a good point, I never thought of it that way ..But you're right, how Ironic and sad all at the same time..

I talked to a couple of folks recently from Nebraska..and they are all pretty comfortable now with the new route of the pipeline..like all good people usually do, when you work things out rather than shove it down their throats, things get done the right way!!...

Too bad those friggin idiots in DC can't figure things out with the budget, instead thousands will be losing their jobs while them azzholes are on a two week vacation...Or maybe they can all spend a million dollars a night in a 5 star French Hotel...really???

I think the XL Pipeline will help but they need another built to Yankee Land so they don't have to ship it buy truck and train. The biggest problem we have is Refineries, we need more especially in the North East and California which has plenty of oil and Tree Huggers they are buying Brent Crude and that comes at a premium.
Speaking of the price of Oil and Gas the dollar is up this morning due the socialists in Cyprus problem with running out of other people's money. That will drive Oil prices and all other commodities down, Mr. Market doesn't like it, but I do.

Can someone tell me or at least give me a good guesstimate why gas prices are going down when oil prices have been going up?

Inventories are up, the dollar was up until today, the driving season has not started due to Global Warming. Economic problems in Europe should cut demand.
I had no idea gas was cheaper?
It is down a tad but not much considering how much Oil is available.

EPA to unveil plan to clean up tailpipe pollution that critics say would raise gas prices

    Published March 29, 2013
    FoxNews.com

The Environmental Protection Agency is planning to unveil a proposal that aims to clean up gasoline and automobile emissions, a plan officials say will lead to cleaner air but also higher gas prices.
The so-called Tier 3 standards would reduce sulfur in gasoline by more than 60 percent and reduce nitrogen oxides by 80 percent, by expanding across the country a standard already in place in California. It would go into effect in 2017.
The oil industry, Republicans and some Democrats have pressed the EPA to delay the rule, saying it would be unwise to impose such a standard while many are still struggling in a bad economy. An oil industry study says the rule could increase gasoline prices by 6 to 9 cents per gallon.
