    Smile New to TSP Talk.

Hello, I just joined TSP Talk today and I find this to be a very interesting and informational site. I started TSP a few years ago and I allocted 50% C, 25% F, 25% S. I have pretty much set that and have not made any changes. I am looking at investing a portion into the "I" Fund . Any advice on how much I should allocate and from which fund I should take from? Thanks

    Fanta,

Many experts recommend between 20-40% of you stock portfolio go to foreign stocks. The world capitalization of foreign stocks is actually higher at 50%.

    You could try the following:

    25% F Fund
    40% C Fund
    15% S Fund
    20% I Fund

That allocation would keep your C/S fund proportions about the same as they are now and allocate 27% of your stock portfolio to foreign stocks.
