    Hello TSPERS,

I will not be posting on the open board any longer. If you would like to chat with me please send an e-mail.

Don't ya love the "experts" are miffed the rally did not continue today??? (not us, huh?). CNBC/Bloomberg this morning (and some on this board) were all ready counting their gains for today, some on CNBC looked like theywere going to anorgy and they were the centerpiece.

    Good luck!

    MT

The markets are up for 2 weeks in a row. You have one flat day and that proves that we are ina bear market? Come on, MT. Give me a break. (Good Luck to You, too...and try to get a vacation)

As Groucho Marx once said...you only came to say you must be going?

He's said this before only to come back later...

As much as I hate myself for saying this - MT, it'd be nice if you'd hang around - I enjoy sparring with you and appreciate your grossly contrarian viewpoints. I don't agree with many of them, but it is nice to have a different vantage point to hash out in my brain - that only drives me to dig deeper to strengthen my own points on what's happening in the market, which leads to greater understanding - which I think is something everyone could use (and hopefully, I and others add a bit to yours as well, in spite of the fact that I don't run a hedge fund). :P

A good chat board needs diversity. It helps keep everyone honest. Members with negative view point helps keep all members on their toes.

Listen, I agree with you. It's just that MT seems like the little boy who cries wolf. Is he really leaving or is he looking for compliments like the ones that you and Mike just provided him with?

I think MT should stay and I think he is very knowledgeable. But his intolerance for others views...which too often turns to childish derision..combined with his own extreme sensitivity to criticism turns me off.

Maybe he's exhibit A of the trade-off between high IQ and interpersonal skills?

Fortunately for me, I possess both.

Hey give credit where credits due. He created his own thread to separate himself from others thread. I think its inappropriate to personally attack him in his own thread. Disagree yes, attack no. If he goes into someone’s thread fair game. Once again I enjoy his perspective even though it can be sarcastic at time. I too can be guilty of being of sarcasm when I feel passionate about things. Don’t get me wrong I’m just trying to find middle of the road. Just my .02.

ehehehe...glad I'm not the only one with a constant need for reassurances...I don't feel like such a nutjob now. I'm hoOOOooooome! (background: I've been ostrasised by the other nutjobs in a support group for us nutjobs...does wonders for one's self-esteem I must say!)

    Mike, ou81200: I toooootally agree.

Mike: "I deal with the customers so the engineers don't have to! I have people skills! Why can't you understand that!? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?"

MT: You are definitely keeping me from getting addicted to up-days and you do affect my thinking in a good way. Also, some of us hope the market does not go down--not for the money--but to avoid the inevitable gloating.

    Hey, Rolo... whaaaaaaaaat's happening? :l

I never used to think of myself as a "people person" - yet in my professional capacity, I'm actually quite good at it - in fact, probably the best or close to it in the entire lab.

Oh, apparently, I suck at it. heh. No idea why or even how. People just kinda flip out on stuff I say/do and I dunno why they do. So I try to STFU more.

I get constant, mixed reviews actually. I had a boss tell me that he would fire me if he could and in the same conversation he said he would promote me if he could. WTF am I supposed to make of that? heh, It is a fact that my mental disorder screws up other people around me...very bad in relationships.

My point is that I can see MT's deal a bit and I can get the same way. Not as much now that I know and can sorta control it...neverending battle, really. Events in my recent past have made me more sympathetic and understading of others' foibles and even accommodate them if its not unhealthy.

I Don't know MT well enough to formulate an opinion of him. But By personally attacking someone would make this chat boardno different thanany other soap opera/tabloid board. This board is moderated for a reason. Most everyone here has a serious attitude for making money and for the most part, we help each other out.

I don't know what happened to him last week to cause these recent posts he made, but the bottom line is if no one likeswhat he posted, simply don't read them.

As for myself, I like the diversity. Even from a "basher".
