My guess, short term gains that will be sold off quickly. It happened with eBay and Amazon. Goog is up after hours so I think we missed the buying opportunity. By Monday you'll see the profit taking start kicking in.
Google will be added to the S&P 500:

It will either be a curse or a blessing for the (C).
What do you think?

In the longer term - probably a blessing. Goog may help provide some leverage, especially to the upside now that it has corrected some.
Rod, I wish you would of told me this yesterday when I could of bought some...............
I remember seeing somewhere last week that Google was being added but I forgot all about it............![]()

IMO GOOG will be a curse. S&P doesnt need the GOOG tech stock, lousy choice for addition, GOOG will die soon.

When I made that post I had thought the change was happening last Friday (3/24), not this Friday. The gains in Google since the announcement have been impressive. So this Friday is the Google day. What happens to it on Monday?Originally Posted by tsptalk

Do you all think that with GOOG joining the S&P tomorrow that this will boost the C fund at least for a day with fund managers buying it?
