NAFTA talks to continue in tense atmosphere, as US prepares new tariffs for China
The U.S. and Canada Thursday agreed to keep talking about NAFTA, and the U.S. planned to announce new tariffs for China Friday. U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland agreed to continue negotiations despite frayed relationships between the U.S. and Canada following President Trump's rebuke of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau last weekend.
