I’m guessing they will do another CR vote overnight tonight, and maybe it will pass. If that happens, I’m thinking the markets will like it on Monday.

And if we still don’t have a deal done on Monday, markets will NOT like that uncertainty, and will dive.

The Federal Gubmint has been playing 'The Washington Monument Game' so long nobody cares. Yawn...

There will be some disruption as agencies with crossed up missions close or stay open. If the dreaded shutdown lasts for some time then those tasks that are important, but run by non-essential agencies, will be moved. Trump may just choose to shutter the non-essential agencies that haven't been funded or operational for months. But, I don't think he legally can. However, Congress will have a very hard time justifying the largess when nobody feels the pain of a Federal shutdown when the Washington Monument stays open.

Remember, they can fund 85% of the Federal Gubmint. The other 15% is deficit spending. The game is up. The stock market might care for a short time, but it will not care for long. I'm staying aggressive and long.

I agree Boghie. This market is looking more for a reason to go up, not down. At least in the short term.
