The S&P 500 crossed 2000 for the first time in its history last week and closed Friday at 2003.37, the 32nd record it has hit this year. The S&P 500's rise from its bottom on March 9, 2009, reached 2,000 days Friday and stood at 2,003 days as of Monday. The current bull market ranks as the fourth best since 1928 in terms of both duration and magnitude, according to Bespoke Investment Group.
