  1. Tech stock earnings strong after hours

Stocks were mixed on Thursday with the Dow gaining a respectable 71-points while the S&P 500 gained 3, or 0.13%, and the Nasdaq was down on the day, but that could change today as earnings reports after the close yesterday were better than expected. 2. Early sell off gets bought late

Stocks opened slightly lower on Wednesday but continued to drop sharply into the early afternoon. By 12:30 ET we saw some stabilization and stocks started to catch a bid as the dip buyers did what they have been doing relentlessly. Small caps lagged.

  5. Stocks continue to rally on tax cut prospects

Stocks rallied again Friday on the prospects of tax cuts as the Senate passed a budget putting the plan closer to reality. The Dow gained 166-points while the C and S funds gained just over 1/2 of a percent each. The I-fund and bonds (F-fund) were down on the day as the dollar rallied and yields moved higher.
