Stocks again traded in a tight range and we are seeing some shallow dips, but the dip buyers are not far off and the indices bounced back and closed just slightly lower. The Dow lost 10-points on the day, and the modest weakness may have been a result of oil falling below $50 again.
Daily TSP Funds Return
The S-fund held up best but there wasn't much of a difference between the funds on Thursday.
I have a lot going on in both business and pleasure over the next week and I will be doing some traveling so I apologize in advance if there are any delays in responding to your emails, etc. My commentaries could also be brief through next week depending on my schedule.
The SPY (S&P 500 / C-fund) remains in the short-term rising trading channel. Any break of that would likely test the 20-day EMA and in a bull market you would expect an initial test to hold.

The Wilshire 4500 (S-fund) has been doing virtually nothing over the last few days. That's not a bad thing when we have overbought conditions.

The EFA (EAFE Index / I-fund) finally had a down day, but it wasn't anything to worry about. The trend is your friend, as they say, and right now the trend is up.

The Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) led the way on Thursday and closed at a new high again. That's what you'd want to see in a bull market.

The short-term indicators have come off of the more extreme overbought readings, and as I had hoped it has done so without any damage being done to the indices.

The AGG (Bonds / F-fund) dropped sharply and the bear flag may be back in play.
