  1. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

Stocks saw gains across the major indices this week with the help of Janet Yellen's dovish comments nearly ensuring no more rate hikes until the end of the year or later. Those gains were produced Wednesday after the bears put on some pressure the day before with the help of some political drama. However, Yellen's testimony blew away the bears' arsenal and the beginning of earnings season Friday was the perfect bait for new buyers.

The week ended with the C and S-fund both with more ...
  2. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

Stocks were mixed this short holiday week with a slight gain in large caps (C-fund) and a slight loss in small caps (S-fund). The action bounced back and forth between buying and selling which tested support, resistance and moving averages. The jobs report came out Friday exceeding expectations with 220,000 jobs added after an expectation 173,000. From there the gains slipped and the action became choppy and the weekly returns hovered between positive and negative territory. It came down to Friday's close whether the week would see gains and a late rally set it in stone.

There seems to be a lot of action in individual stocks of the large indices that doesn't produce any kind of trend in the indices. There is one more week left in June and so far ...
  5. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

Again we see a week with no real trend. Stocks were mixed all around ithin the major indices, which makes it hard to pin point what exactly is on trader's minds these days.

Big opportunities can be found at the individual stock levels but TSP funds will average out the good and the bad. Navigating between the good averages and the bad averages is what will ultimately maximize your return. Easier said than done of course.

The Fed raised interest rates this week and the ...
