    Stocks opened higher on Tuesday and like Monday, the indices peaked in mid-morning trading. A 75-point early gain turned into a mid-afternoon 100-point loss for the Dow, but some buying toward the close left it down just 43-points.

  2. Rally backs off from resistance

    Despite being up 174-points in early trading, the 5-day streak of triple digit moves in the Dow (on a closing basis) ended yesterday as the indices closed well off their highs. The Dow ended the day up 65-points, but closing 109-points off the high was obviously a disappointment for the bulls.

  4. Seasonality Meets Resistance

    Last week's Top 50 buy signal was a winner. It didn't look good early on last week given Monday's follow through downside action, but the major indexes posted some nice weekly gains as sentiment got overly bearish. We've seen that happen before.

  5. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up


    Stocks started the week moving sharply lower as the Dow lost 140-points on Monday, but three days of big gains helped push the indices into positive territory for the week, despite weakness on Friday.

    Here are the up to date TSP fund returns through June 28 and the final numbers for the month of June. The week ended with gains in all funds, while only the G-fund managed again in June. The C and S funds continue to lead the way at
