  1. It's now or never


    Stocks were mostly higher on Friday, ending another week of back and forth action as the Dow and S&P 500 continue to hold on and consolidate. The Dow gained 32-points, while the Nasdaq, and more so the small caps, led the way. Bonds were down, and the I-fund lagged after a spike higher in the dollar.

    Stocks had their ups and downs last week as Russia, the Fed, earnings, and economic data battled for the headlines. We saw slight to modest losses by the close on Friday, and again the smaller stocks and the Nasdaq are lagging.

  4. Resistance tough to crack


    Stocks shot up right after the open on Thursday, but ran out of steam by the afternoon. The early triple digit gain in the Dow turned negative about an hour before the close, but ended the day with a 32-point gain. The other indices were mixed with the I-fund leading the way and the small caps lagging.

  5. Another reversal?


    After an early push lower, stock rallied on some positive comments by the Fed, although the indices were mixed by the close. The Dow gained 118-points while the Nasdaq and small caps lagged again.
