  2. Buoyant stocks


    Stocks remained buoyant as the bears have apparently stepped aside again after trying to take a stand on Monday. The buying wasn't heavy, but it was the lack of sellers that seemed to keep the indices afloat. The Dow gained 33-points.

  3. The bulls push back

    Stocks bounce back after Monday's sell-off. The Dow gained 103-points, more than making up for Monday's losses, while the S&P 500 filled its open gap, but did not quite get all its Monday losses back. Small caps had a good day buy only recovered about half of Monday's decline.

  4. Post holiday swoon


    Stocks opened lower on Monday and the buyers did not seem to want to step in front of the negative momentum, which is a change from we've seen over the last several weeks. The Dow lost just 51-points with the help of strength in the oil sector and the two big oil companies in the Dow, Exxon and Chevron. But the broader indices were hit harder with small caps lagging again pushing the S-fund down 1.5%.

  5. Holiday breeze is over


    The normally strong Friday after Thanksgiving Day started off well, but sellers stepped up and while the Dow held on to a fractional gain, the S&P 500, small caps, and international stocks all saw moderate losses by the close. Bonds had a good day.
