  2. Warnings signs flying, but...


    Stocks opened lower and stayed down for most of the day on Thursday, closing near the lows of the day. It seems silly, but Greece is again the culprit. How many times can their economic woes take down global markets? Yet each time the market has moved to new highs. The Dow lost 171-points on the day.

  3. Bond beaten down


    I'm having some computer issues at the moment and everything is running very slowly for me so I am going to try to make this quick and brief...

    Stocks were up yesterday but once again the indices closed well off the highs. We did see some positive technical action in the charts, but we need to see a little more before we have a successful breakout in the S&P 500. The Dow ended the day up 64-points and I guess the bigger news is the breakdown in bonds.

  4. Late selling spoils rally


    Stocks opened sharply lower on Tuesday after some early bomb threats to multiple airlines, but the dip buyers were at the ready to do their thing and we saw some solid gains by early afternoon. However, like on Monday, the gains faded into the close and the Dow ended the day down 28-points.

  5. Support and resistance hold


    Stocks opened higher on Monday but it struggled to find any kind of direction throughout the morning. It looked like the bulls had finally taken charge during afternoon trading, but the bears were easily able to pull it back down into the close. The day ended modestly higher with the Dow holding onto a 30-point gain.
