  1. Trouble in Greece - again


    The Dow gained 56-points on Friday but the indices were mixed at best with the S&P 500 and small caps down slightly, the Nasdaq down fairly sharply, as were the international stocks. So overall it was more of a negative day, and looking at the futures on Sunday night, there could be more red numbers coming as the debt deal in Greece remains in jeopardy. The headlines are getting more negative.

  2. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

    Greece bailout talks catalyzed stocks to have a strong open on Monday, however there was an early peak and stocks closed off the highs. Tuesday opened higher as well but faded into negative territory by mid-day where buyers stepped back in to push the indices some modest gains by the close. Wednesday opened lower and stocks continued to decline into the close as negotiations with Greece were not as set in stone as was originally thought.   3. Dip continues


    Stocks opened higher on Thursday but quickly peaked and never revisited that early intraday high. The Dow lost 76-points, which isn't a major decline, but it was up 70-points at the open so the selling was fairly steady throughout the day.

  4. Situation in greece gets a little slippery


    Stocks opened lower on Wednesday and continued to drift downward throughout the day leaving the indices with some moderate losses, some worse than others and the Dow lost 178-points. Investors had been led to believe that the situation with Greece was a done deal, but it turns out they are still negotiating and are stuck on a few issues.

  5. Slight gains


    Stocks opened higher on Tuesday, but faded the rest of the morning before buyers showed up and slowly slid the indices back into into positive territory into the close. The Dow gained 24-points and volume was fairly light again.
