Stocks opened higher on Tuesday but after a few breakouts to higher highs in some indices, we saw some fading into the close. The high flying Nasdaq did pullback but investors seemed to put that money into other indices, rather than selling outright. The Dow had a good day adding 160-points, but it was up over 300 in early trading, so it wasn't the best action. Small caps made a higher high yesterday, but also came well off the morning highs.

We aren't off to the races, but as long as price is steadily moving higher who's going to complain? There is still more resistance above that will need to be dealt with, but I doubt it will happen in the short term. The February peak (all-time high) is near the 3400 mark on the S&P, so the index has about 140

Another wave of green hit Wall Street on Monday, although it wasn't quite as positive as the indices might indicate. The Dow gained 9-points after a late dip took it off its highs, but the Nasdaq had a monster day thanks to Amazon. Despite the Russell 2000 small cap index closing down on the day, the DWCPF Dow Completion Index, which is what our S-fund tracks, did quite well.

While the S&P has had a modest breakout, the DWCPF is still a hair away from it's own fresh high. I'm sure it will get there.

Stocks were mixed on Friday with the Dow lagging and losing 63-points on the day, while the broader indices held onto some modest gains after bouncing back from a morning sell-off.
