    Stocks continued their impressive start to 2018 this week. Traders are optimistic about economic growth and with yields up, we saw a rise in bank stocks after the first round of earnings reports were released on Friday. The S&P 500 fell 0.1% Wednesday to end its longest winning streak to start a year in more than half a century.   4. China bond threat ignored

    Stocks opened sharply lower on Wednesday but it didn't take long for the dip buyers to show up as we saw another "multi-minute" pullback for stocks. By the close the Dow had lost 17-points, all but erasing an opening 128-point decline. We saw minor losses across the board in the U.S. indices, while bonds also erased early large losses.
