There was some tentativeness at the open yesterday as investors worried if Tuesday's big rally was going was going flop over as we have seen before, and since that Thanksgiving Friday massacre. But it didn't take long before stocks caught a bid, and from there the indices were off to the races again - closing at the highs of the day. The Dow gained 261, with gains over 1% in the Nasdaq and S&P 500. The I-fund also did well as the dollar took a hit yesterday. Small caps lagged with a 0.73% ...

Stocks bounced back on a Turnaround Tuesday after Monday's attempt to shake inventors out. The Dow gained back all of Monday's losses, with a 561-point gain while we saw gains near or above 2% in many of the broader indices. The small caps had a rare 3% gain yesterday, but that fund has been beaten down harder than most in recent weeks. Bonds (F-fund) were down as yields rallied.

Stocks started the new week the way they ended last week - down. Unlike Friday however, this time it was a broader sell off as the small caps got hit as well. The Dow lost another 433-points, and we saw similar percentage losses in the S&P 500 and Nasdaq. On the bright side, the indices came off their lows to close ...

Stocks have been acting very odd of late. It's not very common to see the Dow lose over 500-points on a day where the Nasdaq is flat and the small caps are up 1%, which is what happened on Friday. It's been more of a tennis match as the returns keep switching with the Dow flat on Thursday while the Nasdaq and the small caps were down 2% plus. The dollar grinded higher all day, which hurt the I-fund, while bonds rallied and yield slipped down again.
