  1. Crash in Japan

    After a mini-crash in Japan's Nikkei Index on Wednesday night (US time) stocks opened sharply lower on Wall Street Thursday morning.

    The Dow was down over 100-points in early trading, but buyers came rushing in again and by noon ET, we were seeing the Dow back in positive territory, and it closed down just 13-points.

  3. Reversal

    Stocks sharply reversed a big positive open on Wednesday as the Dow lost 80-points on the day after being up over 150-points in early trading. Small caps took the brunt of the selling.

    Stocks were up on Tuesday as we saw modest gains in most of the major indices. The Dow led the way adding 52-points and that gain made it 19 consecutive positive Tuesdays for the Dow. Amazing!

  5. Emotions are flying

    After Friday's big rally, stocks took a day off to rest a bit as the indices were pinned near the break-even level most of the day. The Dow lost 19-points and the TSP funds were flat - except for the I-fund.
