  2. Slow holiday action last week favors bulls


    Stocks were almost dead flat by the close on Friday but the 75 cent gain in the S&P 500 made it a 7th positive close in a row. The Dow slipped 3-points on the day and no matter you slice it, it was a light volume slow day for stocks.

  3. A Positive Week

    While the market was largely flat on Friday (that bullish OEX P/C was apparently not enough), the week ended in the green as all three TSP stock funds moved higher.

    The S&P 500 is hitting fresh all-time highs after finally breaking through resistance in the 2400 area last week. Volume has been falling off a bit on the way up and strength went flat on Friday.

  4. TSP Talk Weekly Wrap Up

    Stocks moved higher this week as we headed into the holiday weekend. They continued where they ended the previous Friday - recovering from the poor day last Wednesday. The open gap was filled but the momentum continued and we saw the S&P 500 reach a new all-time high. The week ended on a flat note Friday but a very slight gain marked the 7th day in a row of gains for the S&P 500.

  5. 6 in a row before the holiday


    Stocks made it 6 positive days in a row since last Wednesday's "shock day" and it appears the bears have laid down again letting the bulls have their way. The Dow gained 71-points on the day. The Transportation Index led, as oil plummeted, while small caps and the I-fund lagged.
