    Stocks rose sharply last Monday, heading right up to the 2011 S&P 500 highs, and spent the rest of the week dancing above and below that breakout level. The economic data was fair to good and the price of oil has been able to remain below $110 a barrel.

  3. Bull/Bear Battle Continues

    It would appear the seemingly nonstop march higher is over. At least for the moment, as we're starting to see some day to day whipsaw action.

    The Seven Sentinels remain in an intermediate term sell condition. Notice BPCOMPQ turned back to a sell today. And internals continue to struggle, but price has been largely resilient in spite of the recent volatility. And that may continue.

  4. Reaching rally extremes

    Stocks resumed the uptrend yesterday as the Dow added 28-points, and the broader indices performed even better. Economic data was solid and the dip buyers were back in action.


    For the TSP, the C-fund was up 0.62% yesterday, the S-fund gained 0.75%, the I-fund added 0.76%, and the F-fund (bonds) lost 0.24%.
