My Elliott wave eye says that GBTC will fall back down to the previous wave 4 of wave 3 low, which is the low in mid-May around $200. So if it's got that much further to fall I suspect bitcoin will fall along with it.

GBTC - SharpCharts Workbench - StockCharts.com That's one of the prettiest 5-wave up charts I've seen in a long time, very clear, with the wave 1 peak in early January, wave 3 top was in late May or was a "truncated" top in early June, then wave 5 was at the end of August....so down it goes to the 200dma minimum, and will likely overshoot to around $200 I think. Perhaps a Fibonacci 78% drop from the $1065 top is the target, that would be $234. Just my 2 cents.

Boy, I hope you're wrong - at least in the short-term. I had my eye on that open gap hoping it would eventually get filled. I had an limit order to buy some at 570 and it got filled just at the close. I also bought some earlier in the day at 626 so...

    Unfortunately there's another gap below.

btc is trying to reverse from the lows of today, but not getting much follow-through.

coins still dropping. ETH is interesting to me now. I may buy soon but I would like to see if support holds around 200. RSI is showing close to 20.

Another day. Another sell-off . Another gap filled... but trying to hold.

Now all the open gaps are on the upside.

Are we close enough for a buy? I started to put in a stop limit at 3000 yesterday but didn't. We went a little below. If this area holds we could be back to an uptrend.

Looks like a classic reversal day, and anyone willing to sell probably has done so. But now these new buyers could be scared out again if Jamie Dimon is short and opens his mouth again.

Anyway, we're in a new frontier but technical analysis has worked pretty well on bitcoin so far and where it found support last night looks about right.

Thanks for the insight. I bought some btc at 3500. I'm buying small until I can get a good feel for it.
