I agree this sounds interesting. I think looking for correlations between user sentiment/sentiment shifts and user activity may be relevant...although ripe for spurious correlation.

I'm wondering is this an accurate stat that includes the old forum software too? Do you have any idea why so many members were online at this particular time?
I'm also wondering if you can add more stats on user particiapion, I'm looking for more ways to gauge user activity and find corralations to market activity.

You bring up a great point. It's easier to break records with more members, I suppose a percentage of users online is far more accurate than the number of members.
Thanks everyone, I wasn't really looking to collect raw data daily, just wanted to take a quick glance daily, sort of like I do with the Futures throughout the night. Sort of like cloud watching....
