You will have to ask Tom that one!.....A PM!

We have the Premium Services that we don't talk about allocations on the board. There is information being shared that has to be held in confidence otherwise it voids the premium service.
Plus there are other factors that sould be addressed directly, and not be hear-say.
However, to be "out of the market" IMHO would be to go to the G-fund, likewise I can go to a "cash account" in trading and I'm out of the market.

We can follow TSPTalk, Rev. Shark, Trader Fred. "The Leaders" and what ever. But, these folks are not responsible for the management of our funds. That is an individual member's responsibility.

The problem is a misunderstanding between authority and responsibility. Authority can be delegated, responsibility can't.

If we could delegate responsibility then we could take it out on a lot of folks!

    Hi Burch,

IMHO, I agree investing is fun and every one is on their own merit! My TSP is pretty much set up to make disbursements, grow with COLA, and out live me. It's almost a no risk fund. The bad thing about it is the dang 4-24 hour delay to exit trades.

Therefore, I have my traders account with instant trades. I can buy and hold, bunny hop, or sit on the lilly pad in a cash account and still make money.

I have found that there are a lot of ways to skin a deer. My father-in-law, use to put a rock in their tail tie it with a rope, tie it to the hitch on his surban, and wala!....

    Take care my friend!................ .................Spaf

Maybe this is a small point...but I have read Tom's daily market comments faithfully since becoming a member almost a year ago. I recall at one point he indicated that due to the number of people receiving his e-mail alerts and and relying on them he felt an obligation to be less aggressive in his moves since the people receiving his e-mails could not respond in time to make the moves he could make.

A bad example? It seems that Tom has taken one for the team in some respects...I know that because of Tom and this site I have begun the slow process of educating myself and taking control of my retirement.

Titan3d is more than suspect... another incarnation of the same nonsense (i.e., Willis, Desperado, etc...)

That is true BigJohn. Thanks for bringing it up. I also mentioned I might be making changes this year because of that but I still have not come up with something that will be a good compromise.

At the risk of being Master of the Obvious to most of the astute folks on the board, if I'm not mistaken, Tom's been seeking safety in the F fund for the past few days, which has proven to be an exception risk/reward play, and looks to be again today.

Agree. I have been waiting in the F fund for a few weeks. Boring, but I am making a few cents. Waiting. Sometimes the market forces you to make moves. Great call tom
