Someone requested I post my moves. So here they are for the year.

I was G 100% until - 1-4-05 when I bought 100 -S for $14.25

I was S 100% until 1-6-05 when I bought I fund 100%

I was I 100% until 1-10-05 when I bought 50% F & 50% G

I now have purchased 100 S fund as of 1-12-05

If you follow me I do not keep score until the end of the year. Last year I ended up with a 10.90% gain. This is slightly higher then what the C fund gained last year. I will try to post prior to 11:00 in each move but will not promise that I will as sometimes I dont decide until right before 11:00 AM. I only watch the markets on yahoo that correlate with our funds and purely guess the rest. So if you jump in the same row boat as me I may have tarter sauce but you better bring crackers and the captain may go down with the ship and the crew may have to swab the deck. If we get attacked by pirates and you bleed thats your problem but if you get booty you earned it.

I am going 100% S today on the hunch this fund will bounce tomorrow on a strong Friday. Everyone says Friday is strong so I'm going to play it. The I fund went up so I am staying out for the moment.

I have made a transfer back to F today! I don't know if my interfund transfer was accepted yesterday when I moved into S. The TSP is showing technical difficulties and I may get just left into F where I was before. I went into it to change and see they still had me in F but were claiming technical difficulties with the TSP BIG Yellow Box!

Farmers Shaken by Bush's Subsidy Plan to Cut Farm Subsidies

Cut the fat! President Bush, in his budget plan released Monday, is proposing to cut farm subsidy spending 5 percent this year and cap subsidies at $250,000 per farmer.

We give 250K tax dollars a year to farmers!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the hay????

They should be like any other industry and eithermake it our don't...not give a 250K hand out each year....no wonder my freaky grocery bill is so high.

What are your thoughts????

Give me 250K and I will sit on my ass at diners and complain...hey that is what I see now....interesting...maybe they will have to get up in the tractor and plant something besides Mary Jane. If you want pot...find a farmer.

I probably could of worded that better...I am a little shaken my tax dollars is going give a hand out 250K per farmer per year.

Hmmm....I am thinking about becoming a farmer...a 100% sure deal of 250K tax free check each year is calling to me.

I would say the hand out should be $0 per year and be productive. They pay no property taxes and get a check...and then wait for a Walmart to come in and dump their land and retire....and whine the whole time.

I have went 100% S for COB today will be in full for Tuesday! I like the I fund and I think the US markets will follow it in the short term. I hope Pat buys into the idea of farming a lesson learned is better than 2 in the bush! If you believe each farmer is getting 250K a year your in the wrong business.

I do believe the S may be up tomorrow again but if it movesto fast it may head down. I fund may go down again tomorrow so I am still staying clear of it but that could change shortly.

I made a transfer to 100% F as of COB today. These markets are down trending and it looks like we had a follow through yesterday but this could be false again as it was last week. The market did not go up until the last hourand was higher this morning prior to open than it is now and is moving fast. I am going to pull out and watch. The F fund too me is going up on low volume and I think it may make a move again tomorrow. Good luck to everyone.

Maybe we need a joke to stir up the market god! I went home the other day and my wife stated, "Honey I just consolidated all of our loans!" I said, " You did how did you do that and where did you stick it." She looked at me seriously and stated, "I consolidated into one missed bill." :l- Yeah, we can't do the L fund thing. This one time we'll give it to him by using the L2020 allocation.

I really don't care if anyone can track it but I would think it can be treated just the same as another fund. By adding L funds to to the tracking sheet. When I sell it I will get the increase or loss just as I do in the other funds. The L funds are basically there to try to get people out of the G fund and use more aggressive investments until there retirement at the least risk. Why not use it to my advantage if I can? I am still at risk but I am not depending on any one fund anymore. You can move in to them to reserve depending on the level of protection you want in the given market without any guess work to the risk level and they will adjust it daily to keep the low risk level. It gives you another choice, for example, I played a short term move but Tom states the markets may yet move up by Friday. I am in reserve mode in the L fund a fund goes down steep today it may be advantageous to play it on Friday or stay put. Move to G on Friday and pick up that penny everyone worries about than back to L fund or into C,S, or I on a larger loss. The L funds will fluctuate more than the boring G fund and your not totally out of the game.

Instead of saying I went to the allocation shown on Tom's post I can go a 100% into any of the L funds at the risk level I want at a given time and it just averages across the board according to the allocation set by the experts that you should be into.

Are the postions that each of the L funds post permanent for that level? Is there an advantage to going to a specific fund, like L2020, over doing the individual allocations themselves ie: 27% G8% F 34% C 12% S 19% I ?? Then just changing whichever of the funds you wanted to + or - in future ift's? :?

Has anyone received the disc on the L funds?

The way I see it the L funds just take a certain percentage of each of the original funds and put it to use at the lowest risk factor and they adjust it daily so your allocation stay the same until it is readjusted which sounded like this would be quarterly. When the adjustment is made quarterly it gets more conservative as you get closer to retirement until it becomes the same as the L income fund. In five years the L2010 will be the L income fund and a new L2050 will begin. So if you think the markets may go down play the lower L funds if you think market will go higher you can play the higher L funds of 2030 & 2040 and put more risk out there.

Well Pyriel it makes little difference to me but you can see it is a typing error as you look at my Cowboy talk at 10:41 yesterday. If you want to be correct you should have me in I as I stated yesterday afternoon the I fund was down and I was not selling out my position. What is so consistant about that, maybe I am doing better than some want me to do. Must be hard to go back and change my 100% allocation to I on that little spreadsheet of yours. I may sell that I fund position today. My comments at 10:41 should be plenty of proof I was in the I fund!

I am going to hopefully cut some profit this week and start a new again next week. I did figure out my percentage gain from last year and I am very happy with the 13.07% gain over the 2006 year not bad for a year of playing almost 100% all the time.
