The major networks stood shoulder to shoulder and in an unanimous vote, told bHo’s administration that they were not going to be a party, to what really was a BLATANT assault on the Constitution’ Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press. :D

WH Boycott Fox For Pay Czar Interview – Networks say No
“The signal to corporations is equally clear: You might have dealings with a federal behemoth that not only disburses more than $3 trillion every year but is extending its reach ever deeper into private industry finance, autos, soon health care and energy. Think twice before you run an ad on Fox.
At first, there was little reaction from other media. Then on Thursday, the administration tried to make them complicit in an actual boycott of Fox. The Treasury Department made available Ken Feinberg, the executive pay czar, for interviews with the White House "pool" news organizations except Fox. The other networks admirably refused, saying they would not interview Feinberg unless Fox was permitted to as well. The administration backed down.”

“The White House tried to prevent FOX News from having access to interview Obama's Pay Czar Kenneth Feinberg.
Fox News' Brett Baier: "There was an announcement by the Administration that they were putting out the pay Czar Kenneth Feinberg as we showed you earlier, for the White House pool, they sent out a message for the White House pool that Feinberg would be doing a round robin interviews with the 5 network pool that covers the White House[...]Fox News has been a member since 1997, when they put out that message they specified that all members of the pool were welcome except Fox News."
Although the Obama administration seems to want to see FOX News kicked out of the White House pool, the thugs failed to bar FOX this time. The administration relented and allowed FOX News reporter Major Garrett to interview Feinberg.
Why? Members of other news outlets stood up for FOX, protesting the White House's tactics.”

“The Obama administration on Thursday failed in its attempt to manipulate other news networks into isolating and excluding Fox News, as Republicans on Capitol Hill stepped up their criticism of the hardball tactics employed by the White House.
The Obama administration on Thursday tried to make "pay czar" Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the White House pool except Fox News. The pool is the five-network rotation that for decades has shared the costs and duties of daily coverage of the presidency.
But the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV networks consulted and decided that none of their reporters would interview Feinberg unless Fox News was included.
The administration relented, making Feinberg available for all five pool members and Bloomberg TV.”
If Bush would’ve attacked and tried to marginalize, eh say CNN, the hue and cry from the Libs/Socialists would’ve went into apoplectic shock.
This attempt by the emperor is nothing more than another attack on the Constitution. It’s as obvious as the nose on your face and these attacks on the Constitution, the demonization of private companies and private citizens will only get worse and can be construed as be perpetrated by enemies of the State. This is not the job of the Federal Government. This is right out of Saul Alinsky’s play book!
As stated in one of the stories, if the MSM had acquiesced, this would’ve set a precedent that could have been eagerly used by future Republican presidents to shut down news agencies that they don’t agree with or hate having their comments or decisions being challenged.
Rant off, but yet this really angers me, as these assaults and infringements just keep increasing and becoming more blatant, which again shows a lack of respect for the intelligence of the American people.
