Before she is a Politician - a Republican - or any such garbage as this she is a WOMAN -- an Individual with unique gifts and characteristics. It's time ALL of US - forget the trivial things such as stepping down as the Governor - losing the VP Position - and whatever else the Media has painted on this outstanding person of worth - honor - and integrity --- and all the more time we forget in whatever manner she may have disappointed us....
and give her a 'Fair Chance' ---- We need to wipe the slate clean and recognize her for who and what she is ---- A unique woman of strength and character; with charm and a wonderful sense of humor; and as one who not only enjoys life but adds to it.

Agreed. She is a woman. She is a stunningly beautiful, charming, and intelligent woman, whom the media has done it's best to destroy because she dares to be a conservative.

Honestly -- I'm glad you can tell when I'm really stripping away the garbage and going for the 'bottom line' truth.
I don't know about 'stunningly beautiful' -- as beauty is in the eyes of the beholder -- I certainly can't argue that; and what we consider beautiful is so incredibly subjective.
Charming and Intelligent - no one could argue with
Media could be out to dim her gender ... ruin her character ... all perhaps in the Political Endeavor to make one Party look weak...

A page right out of Saul Alinsky's book "Rules for Radicals". Isolate, demomize and ridicule. First it was Sarah Palin and unfortunately along with her, her family. Then Joe the Plumber for asking the Anointed One a simple but hard question. Next were the Mormons for questioning homosexuality.
Then it was the left's boogie man Rush Limbaugh – who didn’t take it lying down, by the way.
Then they tried to Next came the tax day "tea party" attendees who were "tea bagged " and portryed as insignificant bigots and hate mongers.
Now we have "un-American," "Nazi" "mobs" attending town hall meetings to let their voices be heard loud and clear, speaking to their elected officials in "plain English."
And of course beauty pageant contestant for questioning gay marriage, when asked a question, so much for free speech. And did anyone note that the person that asked the question is a flaming cross dresser?
And, of course the Cambridge cop got crucified by bHo, before he even knew the facts, for daring to do his job.
Think how many private, individual citizens have been attacked or maligned by this administration for just free speech. You don't dare question his decisions publicly or maybe know anywhere, since a snitch line has been set up for his obamatons to tattle on others. Yeah we know it's been taken down.
Guess what, we're being Alinskied or community organized.
I bet that book is on the emperor's nightstand insted of the Bible.
Now if only I can get bHo to pay for fixing my truck which had to be towed to the shop. Ya think?

What bothered me the most is that...where were all the women and women politicians....supporting her for all that was said against her. Yeah I know she's from ...way up north...I've been there off and on for about 5 years working for Uncle Sam. I know she said some corny things...but hell...I would thinks she would have some women supporters outside Alaska. However, because she has family values and doesn't believe in abortion, or lesbianism, she couldn't and didn't get the support of the NOW women and others. It's hard these days to be normal...what I consider normal...and not be condemed. For some of the women feminist groups...those conservative ideas just don't go over very well do they. I congratuate her for standing up to them....!

And she did get alot of support, especially mail, e-mails from `normal' women, encouraging her to hold firm in her stance on what a Woman Really is & can be in total. Proverbs 31 gives a great description of what a Woman Can be & not lose out. What one of us females wouldn't love to have a portion of her skills & retain our femininity; what man among you guys wouldn't love to have her for a wife? The best of it all. The media, of course was not, is not interested. I think of the women in NOW & related groups as being sterile - dry empty vacuums - their exhaust a lot of harsh, judgemental dictatoring.. :)

I don't think Palin becoming a laughingstock had anything to do with her being from Alaska, or her position on abortion, lesbianism, or anything else like that. I think it was more because a lot of people just couldn't imagine her in the President's chair in DC, should something happen to the President. Kind of like Lucille Ball- she may have generated a following to some extent. She had a good sense of humor. But is she the one you want in that seat in case something happens to the big guy? Some folks didn't think she was ready for prime time, so to speak. One term as governor, without a lot of foreign policy exposure at all.
Oh well, we have three more years to see who is going to pop up on the radar screen as a Republican female presidential candidate.
If McCain had picked Maine's Olympia Snowe, or Susan Colllins, I really think you would have seen a different outcome to the election.
But it is was it is.
I hope either Snowe or Collins run the next time around- I think they would be contenders nationally.
I think the winning ticket would be a Huckabee/Collins (or Snowe), or more for a better margain- a Collins(Snowe) / Huckabee ticket.

I think what you're saying has a lot of TRUTH -- but I respectfully disagree with the beginning.
She became a 'laughingstock' -- wholly because of her grounding of being in and from Alaska.
From my perspective she absolutely came across as one of the most wonderful woman -- ever in politics -- when she first made her appearance. WHY?? Because what stuck out was the REAL WOMAN and HER TRUE CHARACTER.
I was even ready to vote for McCain -- wholly because of her
It was because of her grounding -- that her expressions made her sound like a 'laughing stock' .... 'I can look over and see Russia rearing it's ugly head'... and all the other things....
WHAT ultimately DESTROYED HER -- Is that POLITICS FORCED HER TO BE 100% POLITICIAN -- attacking Obama -- and that took from who and what she really is. She was forced into a MOLD that was only meant for the Cold Hearted and Uncaring Politician who will do anything and everything 'for the VOTE'.

Thanks Man !!!
In retrospect I feel kind of bad --- because I'm the very one that was convinced she was an 'air head'.
Her interview with Katie Couric -- destroyed her and then when she went on 'Attack Mode' she really went overboard....
BUT --- now I realize most of her comments -- that were truely 'not appreciated' in the heart and content she meant them were mainly because of her roots - and that she was NOT SEEPED in Washington BS.
Her interview with Katie - was a disaster - only because she was 'under pressure' and out of her comfort zone. Had she been relaxed and simply been REAL and let her thoughts flow 'without feeling like she's under a huge micorscope' would have been a lot better.
Anyway -- THANK YOU !! But I'm Guilty !! before I'm good and it took awhile to get on 'track'
