The State of Ohio Sheriffs department has just published a study, that since Ohio had instituted the Concealed Carry Law, violent crime has gone down and now they embrace the law, where initially they were opposed.
As for another data point, Scotland Yard, issued a report, that violent gun crime has sky rocketed since they took most of the guns out of the law abiding peoples hands. Guns are the only thing between us and the Socialist in DC.
Criminals kill people and it seems like we have a constitutional right for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, that people tend to forget about, especially those libs that want to coddle the crimals and are soft on crime....hmmm kinda like who know who.....shhhhh. ;)

Thanks for the vid Buster. I haven't had a CWP for about 20 years. Now I am thinking of plopping the $60 down and getting one so I can be grandfathered in on any new laws. WA state is still one state that requires approval of second amendment rights as long as you still have the right to carry. ie age, no felonies ect.

This just came thru my e-mail today - so I don't when this vote comes up in the House - and I can't say that I am against some kind of watch, cuz I have heard no reason not to have a 2-day waiting period, nor a check for warrants. but you know, most probably drunks and airplanes kill more people each year than the bullets. And considering our politicians' examples, we know anyone can lie about anything :suspicious: in a very plausible way to get what they personally want. Maybe if Chicago, California, & other places would just get the gangs taken out.... BUT, that `moreover' at the end of the quote is worrisome to me. Well, anyway, here it is :
Hi, this is Congressman Paul Broun from Georgia......
.....Taken right out of Sarah Brady's Christmas wish list, H.R. 45 includes a laundry list of new restrictions on firearms purchases.
In addition to the outrageous national gun registration requirement, H.R. 45 also requires you to:
Pass a written examination to purchase a firearm.
Release your medical records -- including confidential mental health records -- to the government to get your "fitness" to own a firearm approved.
Observe a two-day waiting period before all firearms purchases.
Pay a gun tax of $25 or more on all firearm purchases.
Moreover, H.R. 45 bans all private firearms sales and maximizes penalties for minor clerical errors in dealing with the national gun registry.
and please remember, this is justa message, maybe even could be called a condolence - I've mixed emotions, as I've stated, on this whole thing....

Recent NEWS around my neck of the woods: ...
3 -- THREE -- would be attackers (assultants) - rapers - destroyers - kicked in the door of the would be VICTIM'S home. With a gun on hand -- there was an apparent 'short lived' struggle before all 3 were killed.
NO CHARGES WERE FILED
NO WASTE OF TAX PAYERS DOLLARS ... LONG LEGAL GARBAGE
Please know if you kick in my door -- or CB's -- you will not get a warning :D:D

Grandma,
This has bounced around the internet for a couple of years alnog with the 2007 version of Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act. The Pro Gun Lobby and Supporters of the 2nd Amenment are vigilant but don't seem overly worried about it.
They point out that the bill's failure to attract co-sponsors is an indication of a lack of enthusiasm for it among other congressmen. They feel it is too far-reaching and repressive of gun owners' rights to merit serious consideration by a majority of Congress.
That's what I'm hearing. Plus Pres. Pelosi told bHo to back off any type of gun control legislation, cause it would be suicide for the Dems.

Thank you, CB - I usually can recognize/intercept the chain letters that keep revolving. This had not come as a forward, but more like `breaking news.' I knew I had heard about Pelosi backing off, so I guess I thought this was new thing after that. I appreciate the FYI. :) grandma
