I'd like to register and maintain my own website. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good host? My preference is that it has an easy to use and create website builder.

Personally I use pair.com for hosting- it's got a very cheap ($5.95 a month) service, and allows you to add on addtional domain names and accounts for just $1 a month.

However, they don't use a website builder- you can use any of the commonly available HTML developer type programs to build your own. I just use build my pages by hand with code- I don't have any special programs to do it, and I upload via FTP.

It's worth looking at as one possibility.

I use http://www.cheap-domainregistration.com/

10GB storage and 300GB transfer/month for $4.99/month.

I use MSWord to make simple web pages and WS_FTP/LE to upload.

(I used the "government employee" angle to get the WS_FTP for free) :D

I use webair.com. I haven't used anyone else so I can't make a good comparison, but I have been very pleased with their great customer service over the years.

That appears to be a very good deal. Thanks for the tip, Kevin.
