Thanks to our top posters in 2008!
Below is a list of the top 100 posters in 2008 (who have also made at least one post since November 1, 2008) and I have a small gift for all of you.
This is our way of saying thank you for being a member of TSP Talk! I really appreciate all of the time, input, and dedication that you have given us over the years. I have always said that TSP Talk is nothing without all of you!
If you are on the list below and are interested in receiving a 2009 Weekly Planner, please send me a PM (private message) with your shipping info (name and address), even if you've had something shipped from us before. I don't usually hang on to old PM's very long (and I don't store or give out your info). I hope to be shipping them out by the end of December. Please let me know by 12/25/08.
Thanks!

Thanks Tom, for you and the mods who put in a lot of time to keep this site first rate. Plus also the first rate posters, not me, that give excellent POV's on the market action.

Hey Tom, I want to Thank You for a Great Site. I also want to Thank all the Moderator's and people behind creating and maintaining the Auto Tracker. I gain allot of information from this site and I like all the people on the MB. This site runs very smooth and when anything gets out of hand it is taken care of fast. :)
Thanks Again, Tom

Thanks to all of you who inform us newbies to the TSP, the market, and economics in general. It's been a wealth of knowledge. I appreciate your insight.

Tom its been a pleasure. Nice to be able to lounge around with a group of people who are much more smarter than I when it comes to money. It's great to get another perspective on market conditions and see what is best for my (our) situations. Also a great place to vent some of that pent up anger. Heeeeee! Heeeeee!

I like free stuff! :D
I made the list with just 46 posts? Wow, I'm efficient. :D
You can give my planner to whoever is ranked 101st in posts in '08.
After all, it's better to give than to receive, and this is probably why the women continue to talk to me in spite of my goofiness. :p

Its been my pleasure and financial knowlege enrichment. Your day's market comments are better than the majority of the (other) "pro's" that I've read. Merry Christmas and thank you, nsurf9.

I'm not sure I would have any money in my TSP if it wasn't for the info I receive from TSP Talk. Like everyone else, I've had a bad year...compared to the last couple. This site is the first thing I read in the morning and the last before retiring in the evening. It's just that informative! Either that or I have a masochistic streak. Thanks to all the contributors and I hope our New Year will indeed be more prosperous.

By the way everyone, since this thread was about me thanking you, let me get back to it... I will be mailing out the planners this week to those on the list who sent me their shipping info. Only about half of you did...
Sooo... I have extras. If anyone else wants one, please send me a PM (private message) with your shipping info. 1st come first serve. To avoid multiple trips to the post office, I will ship this week, and then again on Jan 2, 2009.
In case you missed the announcement... http://www.tsptalk.com/mb/showthread.php?t=6620

Received my planner today. Thank you, Tom! I like the added bonus plate on front that reads, "Thank you for being a member of TSPTalk".

I like the added bonus plate on front that reads, "Thank you for being a member of TSPTalk".Glad you like them. I guess you noticed that I accidentally ordered the burgundy instead of the blue, which I meant to order. I thought they screwed up, but I went to the invoice and I'll be damned, I checked the burgundy instead of blue. Oh, well. It's different.
Some went out a few days before others, so if you didn't yours yet, give it a few days.
Glad you like them. I guess you noticed that I accidentally ordered the burgundy instead of the blue,
I never gave it the slightest thought.:)
I also like the motivational pages along with Personal Goals for each month. For those wondering... they are like those motivational posters you see around offices, but shrunken down to size... and IN COLOR.

Tom,
They look beautiful - very classy - and lots of style.
I didn't ask for one because I knew it would wind up in a draw and never get used BUT I sincerely appreciate the offer.
Several receptionists organizing all the appointments and meetings makes things handy.
I was a Top Poster because I've honestly come to love and admire many of the Members and it's been a wonderful site. I'm sure I can say with the greatest confidence that you have done far beyond what you could have hoped for (or planned) by making this site available and letting us discover one another.
Sincerely,
Rick

Thanks Rick. I agree. I knew I would be getting government employees and military folks together with like goals (for their TSP), I just didn't think it would turn into this; An amazing community of a civil people who actually seem to enjoy each other, with so much knowlegde, a willingness to not only share what they know, but also to listen to what others have to say.
... and all you got in return was a planner? :D

One of the most comfortable spots on the internet!
Thanks for allowing me to be the "disgrunted" employee on the board :).
Not much one for reflecting on New Years Eve, always figured and hoped years would get better and better.
Sometimes the years do, and sometimes they don't.
When we are born, lifes yard stick is set before us.
With every passing day, it is there to remind us of the measurable progress we've made.
For some it's financial riches.
For some it's financial loss.
For some it's spiritual ,and others material which drives them inch by inch to the end of the stick.
This was my thought for the day, in the beginning we all start out at zero inch, and a yard can go either way.
From negitive to positive, it's always 6 feet, and it's better to be only plus one, than at minus six feet!
Be safe tonight and always, there's always another dollar, but the minutes lost are gone forever.
Happy New Years!

I second that emotion! Especially, if minus six feet symbolizes pushing up daisies & taking a dirt nap!

Nope, but he was one of the first to make contact! Lots of nice folks here, and everyone listens to the good or bad. Rustynutt, was fighting a solidly rusted nut one time with a 1/2 drive and cheater bar, it snapped off before submitting to my wish of it loosining. The name stuck.
Yup, dirt nap was what I meant :D It's good to be alive. Tonight the garage is getting emptied, vintage dirt bikes all over the drive way and a years worth of ebay parts in nearly a hundred boxes all about. Rode three before dark, that affirmed my good feelings. A 1979 KLX 250, 1982 KDX 450 and 1983 KDX 250. Would have rode more, but the 1970 ones don't have lights and are scary enough in the day time. It's a great night in the desert, and if I can make it through my bottle of rum, should be surprised with a nice clean garage in the morning with no memory of how it occured!
I hope my future wife can put up with this sort of thing. It's kind of a ritual. What about it ladies, been single so long I hope I'm still malleable!
That planner looks nice, is it too late to send in an address?
Thanks for all the work.

I just reviewed this thread and actually went to the bottom of the first post and was amazed that I was #98. I never knew a newbie such as myself could be in the top 100. Chock it up to being excited about being a member of the community and burning use/lose leave. Maybe malted adult beverages too.
Tom, I follow Steady Gain's reply, I recently found a 2001 planner that I religigiously used until MLK weekend, then apparently brought it home and never used it again. So thanks but give it to someone who will use it. Thanks to the entire community for everything!
