What is stopping the TSP board from developing a totally diversified fund for us to invest in? Something with holdings in all asset classes.

What is stopping the TSP board from developing a totally diversified fund for us to invest in? Something with holdings in all asset classes. I know they added S and I relatively recently, I think they tend toward classes that are relatively lower risk since it's retirement?

For long term investing, the L funds come pretty darn close to that. The only things missing as far as I can tell are REIT's and commodities. If you really want to invest in those things, you can easily do it outside of TSP in a brokerage account.
