How much does the person down the hall make? How about your supervisor? How about his/her second level manager?

If you are no longer under the GS schedule, it can be even more of a job to find out.

But not anymore.

Take a look at the public record- from Gannett news media-

Simply type in a name, and agency, and you'll see basic pay and awards data reported.

Note: For my agency, I have noticed the award data is not correct. The basic pay info does appear to me to be valid.

Interesting to look at the salaries for TSP.. The highest is 154,600 (long)and the lowest is 41,000. If it was a ship I think it would roll over cause it's looking a little top heavy.... No bonuses posted yet. Thought they would have all gotten one for taking our IFT's away...

I don't see data in there for most agencies for awards. I think the award data either didn't get released, or someone intercepted that data. I know my agency awards data isn't showing up.

I find it interesting that Government Accountability Office (GAO) people are not listed here.

It has come out about this time of year for the last few years, so I would presume it should be out any day now.

Just curious if the 2008 federal employee salary data is coming soon. I notice that the link for the 2007 data is gone from the data universe front page.

Sorry about that. It's back up now. The link dropped off for unknown reasons. We have the 2008 data on order, but the feds are notoriously slow in responding to FOIA requests.
