I had a drop in Christmas party saturday for the ladies in my community, and asked them to bring canned goods for the local food bank.

We had a great response. Now I've got to get those boxes to the food bank!

Sorry Dennis- but you've been "urban leganded" once again.

Your version of the Twelve days of Christmas history is but another "urban legend".

The story unfolds here:

http://www.snopes.com/holidays/christmas/12days.asp

And it's been floating around the internet that way since at least 1998.

Yep.

Snopes is a great way to find out if it's real, or if it's a fake.

I've been reading snopes regularly since about 2002, and I usually see recent Snopes hot items weeks or months before they show up in my mailbox.

It's a good resource.
