Is it possible for me to draw a monthly amount out of the TSP during my retirement and continue to "manage" the remaining amount in my TSP, so that I could hopefully make more in my investment than I'm withdrawing??

Play around with the monthly payments calculator on the TSP site to determine how much you can comfortably withdraw each month. And don't forget tax.
