View Full Version : Multiple transfers on same day?

Questions from a newbie. If somebody does multiple transfers on the same day (before noon), does the system do them all or just the last one? If you did a lot, might some be processed on that day and some on the next? The TSP website says you can cancel a transfer, but maybe it is simpler just to request a second transfer that is opposite to the first?

Cancelling a transfer leaves the allotments where they were before you entered that particular IFT request.
I don't know that there is a limit as to how many changes you make before noon EDT; each new entry is replacing the previous entry, and which ever chair you are in, or not in, at the Witching Hour is where you get counted, plus, minus or neutral. Any entry made after that, changes where you are to somewhere else http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y106/triso/dead04.gifuntil the next Witching Hour ...FruitBasket Upset.........

Turns out you can make as many transfer requests as you like, but the system doesn't look at them until the close of business, whereupon it does only the last one you entered.

Also, don't get caught in the middle of an IFT change at noon EDT. Apparently the system will assign a new time to the entire transaction such that the original IFT entered before the deadline will not go through at all and the late change will not take affect until COB the following day.
