I can't find a calculator that I know exists because I've used it. But can't remember which website - tsptalk, tspmoney, tspgo, tsp.gov, other?

It was a very simple one for calculating percentage gain. You entered your original sum, then entered the total now in your account and it gave you back the percentage gain. Didn't necessarily apply to I fund or S fund, etc, , just a percentage gain calculator. Didn't have anything about what you expected to contribute, or whether you were FERS or CSRS, etc, just plain and simple arithmetic. (Don't think it had anything about investment on it.)

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Anyone have a link?

Try tsp.gov. I believe they have the calculator you describe or one very similar to it.

I found the one I was looking for, very very basic but keeps me from having to pull out my calculator and I like it better than using the calculator in Windows.
In case anyone else is interested in a basic arithmetic percent calculation, try:

Editing to add: They also have a "cost of living" calculator to compare one year with another but not for every city. They have it for 18 cities and then have a catagory for "average US city". Take a look if you're interested.
