This portafolio with several fund exchanges gave me +19.96% in 2005. I am about 80% technician looking at both weekly and daily MACDs as primary indicators, but use 20% or so gut-feeling (being burned a few times). Take a look at one example:

In my view, January will be bearish, but there is quite a bit of money coming into the market. Thus, I will hold for an extra few days, as the choices for money will drive those funds up. I am hoping to sell FOSFX in a week or two if conditions look right.

Sold today before 3pm deadline all my holdings on FOSFX (40% of total) as the EFA index is picking up a hefty amount. Position in Cash is now 93% ready for January dip.

Keep in mind that many Fidelity funds have a significant penalty (>1%) for trading under 30 days and some, like the FLATX for 90 days. The gain today (1/3) for share prices was phenomenal. I bought FOSFX at 38.26 on 11/10 (posted at my TSP talk thread), received dividens on 12/2, and sold today at 42.68 for a gain of 13.15% it at and now am prepared for a pullback.

Clearly, I came out of the market too soon. Does anybody have a crystal ball? Nevertheless, the 7% in the international market did well, particularly FLATX. I expect that the exhuberant behavior will be tempered by a correction before the 10th. The S&P500 is facing considerable resistance breaking its 52 wk max.
