Good question-

Who is the highest paid government employee in your State?

Is it your State's governor?

The Dean of the State University Medical School?

Perhaps a Supreme Court Judge, who has make weighty decisions and met out justice across the land.

Whom does your state, and your society, value - as worthy of being paid the most?

yeah, they should just pay these coaches middle class pay and see how many people pay to see their teams lose every game.

Ya gotta understand markets

In most states the highest paid government employee is the state college football coach

Nick Saban at $7 million per year is a bargain. He creates many times that for the school and the state.

That was in 2008 Tom. The highest paid state employee in 2011 was the University of NH president at $333,658. Dick Umile, UNH hockey coach for the last 24 years only gets $267,115.

Based on the area I lived in back in the 60s-70s it was pretty much Quebec south.

i notice that in nevada the highest paid is a plastic surgeon, that explains a lot. as a kid i could never figure out why if nobody wore underwear and boobs always pointed at the sky, then how come was victoria's secret so profitable.

i know better now, but i still get in trouble.
